Easily measure water by building or appliance with water meters. BTU meters can report on thermal output of boilers, geothermal, and other hot water systems. Gas meters can measure natural gas / propane use.

PowerWise offers apps to report on daily and monthly water or gas use. Or, in the case of BTU meters, the apps show thermal energy production, as well flow rate and supply / return temperatures

Typically, water meters are sized based on flow rate and pipe diameters. PowerWise recommends having the meters installed on a straight section of pipe to ensure smooth water flow and reliable measurements. Ideally, these meters are installed with isolation valves and a bypass, so the meters can be serviced or replaced if necessary, without affecting water service. These meters have a pulse or Modbus output and communicate directly with a gateway or a data acquisition device. PowerWise offers wired and wireless communication options.
